About Us:

chuck davis
"Fanatic"-- That was the word a former employer once used to describe him. While still in high school, Chuck worked as the layout artist, cartoonist and editor for the school newspaper. After high school, his work ethic and good design sense was put to use when he began his own sign company at age 19. Later, Chuck's interests began to include print, Internet design and type design, eventually leading to him to specialize in logo design. In addition to Logical,

Chuck also owns and operates Letterhead Fonts, a website devoted to creating and selling hand-lettered style fonts for graphic designers and sign artists. Samples of his work can be seen in various sign industry magazines. "I actually credit my lack of formal design schooling for the simplified style of design I prefer.

My ideas are driven by common sense rather than any fad or trick. Too often I think designers forget that they are creating for others and tend to get caught up in impressing each other rather than focusing on selling the product at hand. Logical is the complete opposite of that mode of thinking."

rich marazsky
Rich began his foray into graphic design at Courtesy Career College in Chatsworth, CA. Later continuing his education at Santa Monica College, studying layout, color theory, and communication. While attending school, he landed his first job as lead designer for a large distributor of animation art. It was there that Rich and Chuck met and after overhauling the company's existing website, took on many freelance projects together. Rich later took a position as lead designer at citysearch, designing most of the Los Angeles based company's websites and advertisements.

His expertise in design communications and Flash multimedia brings a rare combination of skills to Logical. " I think there is a definite lack of purpose being taught at many of the design schools now days. The emphasis is placed so much on attempting to be 'cutting edge' that the underlying concept of communicating the idea to the public has sadly fallen by the wayside. I saw a definite need for a company that put the considerations of viewer first and above all else."
